Qualification Details

• Essential:
  a) Doctorate in specified field/discipline from amongst Agriculture
  and/or Biological and/or Chemical Sciences/Technology from a
  recognized University/Institute with 10 years of R&D experience
  relevant or related to chemical or biological processing of biomass for
  value added products (edible/ nutritional/ nutraceutical or non-edible)
  in secondary agriculture perspective.
  b) The experience for this position is as specified below as per needs of
  the Institute.
  c) Excellent track record of research publications, patents and awards,
  research leadership etc. in desired/advertised area/domain.
  Experience and Job Description (post specific): The incumbent for
  this position is expected to provide strategic leadership to R&D
  programme and focus on Industrial biotechnology, scaling biotech
  ecosystem, will be responsible for managing functioning of the
  Biomanufacturing and other institutional scale-up facilities including
  GMP, Pilot plant and other related facilities etc.
  Desirable:
  One or more of the following:
  R&D excellence in the subject field as evident from profile of
  achievements including publications, patents, technology transfer,
  research leadership relevant to the advertised needs/job requirement,
  S&T honours/awards.
  Experience: Scientists from Central/State Governments, Research
  Institutes, Autonomous Bodies etc.
  (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in parent Department (or)
  (ii) With 5 years’ service in Level 13 or equivalent in the parent cadre/
  Department and possessing the essential qualification & experience as
  mentioned above.

Desirable:
a) Evidence of R&D contributions or tangible collaborative research
achievements.
b) Guiding doctoral or post-doctoral research in the relevant subject field
or area.
c) Profile of research accomplishment as evident from achievements
including patents, technology transfer, process development,
process upscaling, product development, publications; and
d) Innovational leadership related to the advertised needs/job
requirements.
Experience and Job Description (post specific): The incumbent for
this position is expected to have industrial experience (of 2 or more
years) with proven track record of patents and product
commercialization. He/She will be responsible for managing, functioning
of the Biomanufacturing and other institutional scale-up facilities
including GMP, Pilot plant and other related facilities etc.
